HOW TMS WORKS

TMS uses focused magnetic pulses to gently stimulate areas of the brain associated with mood regulation. Patients remain fully awake and seated during each session, and can drive themselves home immediately after. Sessions typically feel like a light tapping on the scalp.

MAPPING
One-time visit: TMS Tech runs the mapping; prescriber joins for the first 30 minutes to establish the motor threshold.
ACUTE
30 sessions, 5 days per week for about 6 weeks.
TAPER
6 sessions over about 3 weeks (3, then 2, then 1).
WRAP
End-of-course visit to document response and plan any maintenance sessions.
