Integrative Psychiatry

Integrative Psychiatry

At Wholeness Center, we blend conventional psychiatric care with innovative functional/naturopathic approaches such as nutritional therapy, psychotherapy, psychedelic- and ketamine-assisted therapy, neurofeedback, and mindfulness practices that support your body and mind.

Integrative Psychiatry combines the best of conventional and holistic modalities to offer you more effective mental health care. Along with traditional prescription therapies prescribed by our experienced psychiatric team, we incorporate safe, effective treatments that most psychiatrists have not been trained in: nutrition, herbs, mindfulness practices, meditation, supplements, psychedelic medicine and more.

As pioneers in this field, our psychiatric team prescribes medications in a more cautious manner in order to maximize your benefit and safety. Simply put, you need less medications when you combine tools.  We embrace family-centered care and a collaborative model that puts you at the center of all treatment decisions.

Rather than solely treating symptoms, our psychiatric team seeks to identify and address the underlying causes of mental health conditions. This approach may involve investigating imbalances in hormones, gut health, inflammation, and genetic predispositions, among other factors. We also use cutting-edge brain mapping to determine what medications will work best for you before we prescribe or make recommendations.

Just like every service at Wholeness Center, our approach to integrative psychiatry is rooted in the Wholeness Method, meaning we provide collaborative care. Our psychiatry team works closely with our in-house psychotherapists, and naturopathic doctors to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address various aspects of your well-being. In addition, we collaborate with you and encourage you to take ownership of your own mental health care. Patient education and co-decision making are integral to the process.

Wholeness Center has been a leader in psychedelics and ketamine therapy for treating mental health conditions since 2017. Every single one of our psychiatry team is trained and knowledgeable about how and when to use these therapies to treat mental health conditions.
