Brian Yoder is an experienced therapist dedicated to supporting growth, healing, and human connection. A Licensed Professional Counselor since 2016, he has been working with individuals and communities since 2008 through life transitions, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, and emotional challenges.
Brian specializes in working with adults and mid-to-late teens (15+) facing PTSD, stress, relationship issues, and identity exploration. His approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in a belief that healing unfolds through relationship, insight, and skillful support. He helps clients reconnect with resilience, develop practical tools for change, and move toward greater clarity and fulfillment.
His integrative style combines EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, somatic awareness, and mindfulness-based practices. Always trauma-informed, Brian also draws on humor, creativity, and deep listening to foster trust and emotional growth.
Brian is among Colorado’s first fully Licensed Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitators and has received advanced training in psilocybin and MDMA-assisted therapy (CIIS, MAPS/Lycos, InnerTrek), along with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy through Fluence. He supports clients with structured preparation and integration for psychedelic therapy, offering grounded, intentional care.
Brian’s background includes teaching psychology and sociology, working as a school counselor and counselor supervisor, guiding on commercial river expeditions through the Grand Canyon for over a decade, and serving as an adjunct instructor at the University of Colorado–Denver. Outside the therapy room, he is a passionate whitewater kayaker, river surfer, and backcountry skier. Brian also maintains a private practice, Catalyst Counseling and Coaching, and is actively building Catalyst Journeys—a healing center dedicated to psychedelic-assisted therapy. He holds a Master’s in Counseling from Colorado State University and brings relational depth, somatic awareness, and a grounded, attuned presence to every client encounter.
