Meet Elizabeth Piazza-Bonin, PhD (“Dr. Beth”), a seasoned psychologist who works with adults of all ages seeking deep, transformational experiences. Dr. Beth’s style is warm & empowering. She views symptoms & dis-ease as benevolent teachers showing you the path to turn inner wounds into medicine. Her mission is to meet you where you are on your journey & to help you move towards a life of joy & flourishing.
Dr. Beth offers Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, a creative approach that teaches reconnection to your wisest self. From this embodied place you learn to explore discomfort with compassion & courage to reconnect with your inherent wholeness. She also has extensive training in CBT approaches such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) & Prolonged Exposure (PE).
Dr. Beth is particularly passionate about serving clients who are seeking greater purpose & meaning in their lives & want to incorporate spirituality into their healing. Her own journey through years of debilitating chronic illness provided a life-changing education in the mind/body/spirit connection & the powerful innate medicine of unconditional love.
Dr. Beth received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Memphis & has published multiple peer-reviewed articles. She completed her predoctoral internship (2015) & trauma-focused post-doctoral fellowship (2016) at the Denver VA Medical Center. She worked for several years as VA psychologist and on the PTSD clinical team and served as training faculty and supervisor for postdoctoral fellows before moving into private practice.
Dr. Beth has advanced training in treating PTSD, depression, anxiety & assisting clients with personal growth & development. She also received post-graduate psychedelic training through CIIS, MAPS, PRATI & Fluence. She provides ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) & is training to become a licensed psilocybin clinical facilitator in Colorado. She also serves as an adherence rater for the MAPS/Lykos MDMA-assisted psychotherapy clinical trials.
Dr. Beth lives to spread joy & kindle creativity. She is passionate about living a spirit-filled life & is always up to some new adventure. She loves to buy more books than she can actually finish & intuitively reads the pages out of order. She writes poetry in the early morning hours under the stars & can’t get enough of travelling around the world with people she loves.
