Dr. Steven Rondeau

My connection with medicine and natural health care began in my native state of Michigan where I received my undergraduate degree. I attended medical school and internship training in Arizona and received my doctorate degree at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Throughout my clinical training, my focus was on pediatrics using safe and effective therapies that blend the best of conventional western medicine with natural therapies. I feel this is the best approach for treating children with disease and is our obligation to our future generation to provide this much needed and scarcely available service. I feel that all children deserve love, healthful nurturing and the best possible health care available. In addition, I also consider that our nation’s children are highly over medicated and that there are safe and effective natural ways to treat and prevent childhood disease without the use of some potentially harmful medications and chemicals. Part of our role as doctors is to teach. Besides teaching students, I have found my favorite way to reach parents is by sharing information on my internet radio show. You can find info about the show at my website www.kidslivingnatural.com. I find that the best way to treat children is by educating parents and giving them the hope and tools they need to help grow safe, strong and healthy kids. I describe my style as that of a partnership and collaboration with parents to achieve optimal health of my patients.

Following my medical school and internship training in Tempe Arizona, I continued my specialty training in developmental disorders in Utah. During this time my focus was on treating and recovering children with neurodevelopmental disorders using a combination of conventional medication and alternative therapies. Working alongside my wife, Dr. Mary Rondeau, we were able to form a collaborative partnership for families to utilize to bring healing to the entire family. We have further enhanced our collaboration by joining the Wholeness Center team. I am a board certified physician and a Defeat Autism Now (DAN!) practicing doctor who has had the privilege to work and train along side of many of the highly respected researchers in the field of autism spectrum and developmental disorder treatments. In addition, I currently serve on the medical advisory board of the PANDAS Resource Network; a group dedicated to education and research of PANDAS syndrome. During my clinical training, I was trained how to utilize therapies such as nutrition, herbal and natural medicines, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, neurofeedback, acupuncture, homeopathy, IV and detoxification therapies to name a few. In addition, I am BCIA-EEG certified in EEG biofeedback, otherwise known as neurofeedback and quantitative EEG analysis. Much of my training in this area has been focused on the treatment of chronic pediatrics conditions such as ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, learning disorders, anxiety, depression, addictions, seizures, autism, asperger’s, and PDD-NOS. My particular areas of interest are working with children with these chronic conditions and restoring hope and health to our future generations and their families.
